Background

Strand Hanson acting as Nominated and Financial Adviser to Quantum Base Holdings plc on its £15m IPO on AIM

Quantum Base is a quantum science company creating a newglobal standard in authentication through its patented Q-ID solution – nearunbreakable and non-replicable authenticity tags that can be applied to a vastarray of products, significantly mitigating counterfeiting, a $2.8 trillionglobal issue. The technology underpinning Q-IDs harnesses randomness at theatomic level, and this volume and variation ensures that there is virtually aninfinite number of combinations that can be created. The Q-ID is practicallyimpossible to replicate using even the most advanced available technology.

The Company was spun out of the University of Lancasterand leverages the work of Professor Robert Young.

Christopher Raggett, Director at Strand Hanson, said:
“Quantum Base is a real UK tech success story. The science behind Q-ID,developed at the University of Lancaster, is truly exceptional and we believecan revolutionise the anti-counterfeiting space. We are rightly proud to haveadvised the Company on its IPO on AIM which will provide Quantum Base with thecapital and cache that it needs to embark on its next stage ofcommercialisation. This transaction is the sixth listing we have completed inas many months and further strengthens our track record in deep-tech, a growingsector for Strand Hanson.”

The Strand Hanson team was led by Christopher Raggett, with the support of James Bellman, David Asquith, Edward Foulkes and HarryMarshall.
